The company La Bandita and Lunadoro started in Val D’Orcia with cereal production and then there was the opening of the agriturismo.
After which they bought the company Pagliareto at Valiano di Montepulciano with 10 hectars of vineyards for producing Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
From here they restructured the winery with the modern technology for the vinification and the traditional oak barrels for the ageing.
Dario Cappelli and Gigliola Cardinali owners of La Bandita and Lunadoro have many things in common.
First of all they are husband and wife, which could be enough but they are also both children of farmers that have always loved the land and the work that they do.
Becoming wine producers was the most natural decision they made but also the most difficult.
They are enthusiastic which is a good base to start with.
